Reels Trimmer
Trim, cut, and speed-adjust clips to Reels-optimized length.
Upload a video to trim
MP4, MOV, or WebM up to 250 MB. Your upload is deleted immediately after processing.
Drop a clip in, set your in and out points, and export at a length the algorithm actually likes. Includes a speed adjuster — speed-ups are a proven hook for retention on Reels.
What Reels creators use it for
- Cut a 2-minute talking-head down to a 30-second Reel
- Speed up a slow process clip 2x so it doesn't lose viewers
- Trim dead air off the front of a Reel so the hook lands instantly
Why this matters
Trimming in Instagram's own editor is fiddly and resets if the app crashes. Doing it here gives you a clean cut, frame-accurate, with no quality loss.
How to use it
- 1
Upload your video or paste a Reel link to trim.
- 2
Set start and end points; adjust speed if needed.
- 3
Export a 9:16 file ready to upload as a Reel.
FAQ
What's the ideal Reels length?
For new accounts, 7–15 seconds tends to win on completion rate. For established creators with a hook that lands, 30–60s works for storytelling. See our Reels Size & Format Cheat Sheet for the full breakdown.
Does speed adjustment change the pitch of the audio?
By default yes — voices get higher when sped up. Most CapCut users like that effect, but if you want pitch-corrected audio, run the audio through a DAW separately.
