Reels Compressor
Shrink the file size without giving up Reels-grade quality.
Upload a Reel to compress
MP4, MOV, or WebM up to 250 MB. Files are deleted after processing.
Compress your video down to a size that uploads fast on cellular data, while keeping the 1080×1920 sharpness Instagram needs to avoid extra recompression on its end.
What Reels creators use it for
- Get a 200 MB phone export down to 15 MB before uploading on the go
- Send a Reel preview to a brand without it bouncing from email
- Keep your phone storage manageable when working with raw clips
Why this matters
When you upload a huge file, Instagram aggressively re-encodes it and the result looks worse than if you'd compressed it yourself first to a clean H.264 file. Pre-compress and you control the quality floor.
How to use it
- 1
Upload your Reel-ready clip.
- 2
Pick a target quality (Balanced is right for most cases).
- 3
Download the compressed MP4 and upload to Instagram normally.
FAQ
Will compression make my Reel look worse?
Not if you pick Balanced or High. The reason your Reel looks soft after uploading is usually Instagram's own recompression — feeding it a tighter file gives it less work to do and a better starting point.
